Sycamore Newsletter - 22.5.26

Good afternoon,

What a final week of the half-term we have had. The children have done very well concluding our unit on time, getting to grips with converting between 12 hour and 24 hour clocks. In English we had a short topic on poetry, looking at rhyming couplets, verses and using adverbial phrases.

The children were very knowledgeable about Attingham Park when we looking at its history and how far into our past people have lived there and used the land.

In reading we have started our new book, Street Child. The children are already quite invested in Jim and have found it quite unusual that it is based on a real story and we already know the ending.

Over the half term, please:

• keep up the reading - ideally daily

• encourage the children to practice their times tables

• consolidate their maths on Mathletics
