Sycamore Newsletter - 12.12.25

Good afternoon,

We have had a very productive penultimate week in Sycamore, the children have produced some fantastic fantasy narratives, which flow very well and cover a lot of their writing targets. In maths, we have come to the end of our multiplication and division unit, those children who have been practicing their times-tables have done very well.

In science we continued looking at teeth, exploring how we can tell if an animal is a carnivore, herbivore or omnivore from how their teeth are arranged and the type of teeth they have in their mouths. This linked to our previous work on predators and prey.

In history, we had fun becoming part of the Roman military, marching around the playground, trying to get into different formations. It was a bit tricky to start with moving as a team but we got there in the end.

With one week left to go, we are are very near our reading target and it would be fantastic if we could reach it. Please keep encouraging the children to read daily.

I hope you all have a great weekend,

Mr Reynolds
