Sycamore - 5.9.25

Good afternoon,

We have had a very positive start to the new academic year in Year 4. As a class we created the acrostic poem to show who we are and it gives us something that we can make sure we continue to strive towards.

This week we have started our maths unit on Place Value. This year we go up and explore into thousands so we have to make sure we really understand what each place value stands for.

I have been very impressed with the children's attitude to reading, they all chose their free reader book this week to get them going and almost everyone has read daily at home this week - please support the children in keeping this up.

Next week we get fully underway into all of our lessons, our PE lessons this year are on a Wednesday and a Thursday. Please ensure the children come in wearing the correct clothes and ideally leave their earrings at home on these two days.
