Good afternoon,

What a productive week we have had. In maths we have continued to explore addition and subtraction, testing ourselves with larger numbers, and ensuring we exchange when needed. I am sure the children will enjoy showing off their skills next week when they show you their books during parents evening.

In English we have moved on to narratives; exploring what we need to put into a narrative so it is interesting for the reader to read. Next week the aim is to create short stories demonstrating our writing and language skills.

In PE we are currently working on teamwork and map reading skills. The children were tasked this week of working in small teams, making their own maps and finding items hidden around the playground. Some maps were very helpful and detailed and made finding the items fairly straight forward.

As always please keep up the daily reading at home, remember there is also mathletics and spelling shed to help the children with their maths and spellings.
