Good afternoon,
Over the past couple of weeks in English we have been exploring newspaper reports, which has resulted in this week writing an article linked to an interesting event that has happened in our class text. The children have tried really hard to write in a formal and factual way and have tried to use speech to add some personalised points of view.
In maths we are in our multiplication and division unit and have been looking at factors, multiples and prime numbers. Please remember there are tasks set on Mathletics for the children to access to consolidate their learning.
For art this half term we have been focusing on birds, looking at how we can sketch them in detail before moving on to their wings as our main focus. This week the children got to have a go at using their tiles for printing. Here are some of the results.

Next week there won't be any spellings for the children to work on, we will instead be recapping some of the words we have explored this half term. Spellings will resume after half term, and that list will be posted next week.
Please keep encouraging the children to practice their times tables and keep up the daily reading at home.
Hope you all have a good weekend,
Mr Reynolds
