Hazel Newsletter 01.05.26

Happy Weekend to all! We’re very excited for the Bank Holiday and are looking forward to some (hopefully) nice weather.

In English Writing, we have been looking at Newspaper Reports so we can write our own next week. We reminded ourselves of apostrophes for both contractions and possession. We also wrote a small report about planting our herb garden last week, which hasn’t sprouted yet.

In Maths, we have focused on Money as a new topic. We looked at recognising coins, counting pounds and pennies, and adding amounts together.

In DT, we looked at the Eatwell Guide to show all of the different food groups. We talked about eating things in moderation, and how important fruits and vegetables were to our bodies.

In PSHE, we considered all the things that would make our bodies healthy. We realised that eating well and exercise is important, but so is brushing our teeth and taking time to relax our minds.

In Computing, we designed a magazine cover using Placeholders to show where we would put the images and the text.

Please make sure children are sent in with named sunhats, sun cream on and water bottles next week. The weather is getting warmer and we want to make sure everyone stays safe.

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Brunyard, Miss Cluderay and Mrs Savory

Wow – what a year we have had! We are incredibly proud of all of the children and everything they have achieved this year. They have worked so hard, grown in confidence, and shown resilience, kindness
