Happy Friday! We’ve had another busy week in Hazel Class.
In Maths we have finished off our Multiplication and Divison topic by looking at counting groups of numbers. We looked at sharing and grouping as methods to support division and practicing our multiplication by repetition.
In English, we practiced writing instructions using Fronted Adverbials. We considered which instruction came First and which instruction came Last. We also looked at Imperative Verbs, using them to support our instructions.

In Computing, we continued using Scratch to move multiple sprites on our screen, considering the different directions we could move them. We practiced using the terms Clockwise and Anti-clockwise to describe the movement.
In DT, we made a Snapping Crocodile to practice creating a mechanism using a lever. We really enjoyed decorating our mechanisms and even got to take them home!
We had another amazing week of swimming. A lot of children increased their confidence going into the water and made it across the pool by either walking or starting to kick their feet to propel them across.
Our PE days are now Monday and Friday to accommodate swimming. School uniform should be worn on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Can we please ask everyone to check that the children just bring what they require for swimming on a Friday, there are no products, gels or sprays etc. brought into school. We just need towels and swimwear.
Have a great weekend,
Mrs Brunyard, Miss Cluderay and Mrs Savory
