Hazel - 27.6.25

Good afternoon,

We have had a very busy week in Hazel class and I am pleased to say the children have done some great pieces of work.

In English we have finished our work on diaries. The children were tasked with writing a dairy entry about their journey to school however they had to create an interesting twist. They have done very well including a range of conjunctions and trying to include possessive apostrophes.

In maths we have started our new unit on shape with a particular focus of angles. We have continued our unit on plants in science and have been looking at parts of a flower and looking at what each parts role is.

Our design and technology unit is also linked to plants as we are looking at food we can grow. The children are doing a good job so far of keeping the plants alive. The tomatoes are looking very promising and lots of the children are looking forward to trying them next week.

Next week we have move up morning on Monday, so we will be moving into the Year 4 classroom and familiarising ourselves with the Year 4 Curriculum.

As always please keep up the daily reading at home, it is really important particularly as we approach the summer holidays, it makes such a difference.

Hope you have a great weekend,

Mr Reynolds
