World Book Day

This week we celebrated World Book Day by sharing and appreciating our love of reading. The children created some fantastic pieces inspired by books they have read, proudly presenting and sharing their creations with the class. It was lovely to see such enthusiasm for stories and to hear the children talk about their favourite books and characters.

Maths

In Maths, we finalised our learning on length and height, focusing on measuring in centimetres and metres. The children demonstrated their understanding by applying their measuring skills to a range of practical activities and problems.

Art

In Art, we enjoyed a wonderful outdoor session foraging for natural materials. Using items such as sticks, leaves and stones, the children worked creatively to build their own 3D nature sculptures, bringing their artistic ideas to life. It was fantastic to see their imagination and teamwork in action.

History

In History, we learned about the Suffragettes and the important role these brave women played in changing society. The children explored how the Suffragettes campaigned for women’s rights and discussed the impact their actions had on the world we live in today.

We are incredibly proud of all the effort, creativity and curiosity the children have shown this week. Well done, Elm Class!
