Chestnut Newsletter 23.1.26

This week we have enjoyed sharing 'How the Elephant got his Trunk' by Andrea Florens.

We have written the story in our own words and started to use conjunctions such as 'and, 'but' and 'because' in our sentences.

In maths we have completed our unit on Addition and Subtraction within 20. However, we will continue to work on our number facts throughout the year. Your child has brought home their End of Block assessment. We complete this in the classroom and try to encourage the children to have a go on their own so that we can see who needs support.

Everyone should have brought home a letter about our art lesson on Monday 2nd February. Please try to gather bits and bobs which can be used by your child to build their Recycling Monster.
