What a fantastic start to the Summer Term!
The children have enjoyed comparing lots of different versions of the fairy tale 'Hansel and Gretel'. We have written a setting description of the tempting cottage in the woods.

In maths, the children are becoming more independent at making equal groups and are starting to make arrays to show rows and columns. Next week they will be sharing equally. Please help them to count in 2s, 5s and 10s.
Soon the children will be taking part in the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check. We will be doing lots of practise using previous checks so the children will be very comfortable with the process. The best way to support your child is with regular reading.

I am in the process of organising our class trip for Tuesday 19th May with more details to follow!
Have a fabulous weekend,
Mrs Dowell, Mrs Mitchell and Mr Jones
