What a scorcher it has been this week!
We have tried incredibly hard to keep the children cool this week. Please make sure they have a clean, fresh water bottle in school everyday. They also still need their reading books each day.
We have continued our theme of Superhero books and enjoyed reading a comic style book this week: Superhero Bunny League Saves the World. The children then created and wrote about their own Superhero.

In maths we have been consolidating what we have learnt over the year. Please keep giving your child opportunities to count in 2s, 5s and 10s along with recalling simple addition facts within 20. They should be fluent in naming all the pairs of numbers which make ten.
Next week we have a few end of term activities going on. The children have their end of term disco on Wednesday afternoon and they will also have a visit from the Fire Service. We will be watching the Year 6 leaver's assembly on Friday morning.
On Thursday, the children will need to bring in a STRONG bag to carry all their books home from school. The children should be incredibly proud of the progress they have made this year and I hope you enjoy looking through their work.
Please remember that the children need to be picked up at 1:15pm on Friday.
Thank you for your support,
Mrs Dowell, Mrs Armstrong and Mr Jones.
