Happy Friday!
The children have quickly settled back in after half term.
This week, they have loved our story ‘The story of Little Mole’. They have drawn mole, his home, another animal and a machine to distinguish the different plopping sounds.

In phonics, we have been looking at ss, ll, ff and j. This week the children have been using their sound knowledge and blending skills to try to read books with words in. Please email or speak to us if you have any questions on this.
The pure sounds videos can be found here:
Please make sure the yellow reading record and reading books are brought into school daily. When you share a story and listen to your child read, please write in their reading records, this can be the date and initials. Thank you.
In Maths, we have been looking at circles and triangles. The children have enjoyed sorting shapes, talking about what they notice and finding shapes in the environment.

We have also been talking about Bonfire Night. The children used their fine motor skills to create pictures in sand, using poms poms, playdough and chalking.
Our certificate winner this week is Rayne. She is a kind and caring member of our class, who tries hard and joins in with all activities. Rayne has won it this week for being a great helper and good friend. Well done!
We hope you have a great weekend.
