The children have had a fab week listening to the story "The Pirates Next Door" and exploring a range of pirate and mermaid activities. They created some brilliant pirates and ships of their own and had some great ideas in Drawing Club for the treasure they would leave behind.
They have been working hard to read longer words in phonics this week and we have been focusing on comprehension when reading our sentences - answering questions about the sentence to ensure they have understood what they just read.
In Maths they have been using the first, then, now structure to solve addition and subtraction problems. They have found subtraction a little harder but we will continue to work on this.
They all looked brilliant on our Pirate and Mermaid day - thank you - and really enjoyed immersing themselves in all the activities throughout the day.

Hopefully you have been able to keep up with all their activities on Tapestry, but please let me know if you have any issues accessing your account and seeing your child's learning journey.
The children love to know you are getting to see what they have been up to and often ask us to take photos of things they have created or completed to put on Tapestry so you can see.
Have a lovely weekend.
