Year 6 SATS

Dear Parents and Carers,

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding the Year 6 SATs results.

There have been significant national delays in schools receiving pupils' SATs results from Pearson, the organisation responsible for marking this year's tests. Schools only started to receive this information yesterday.

Once schools receive the results, we are required to carry out our own quality assurance checks before they can be shared with families. Unfortunately, this means there will be a further short delay before we are able to send the results out.

We sincerely apologise for the delay. However, this is completely outside of the school's control and has affected primary schools across the country. I appreciate that some schools have already been able to share their results, but we will ensure that, as soon as ours have been fully checked, they are sent to you either by email or by post.

If you would like to discuss your child's results in more detail, we will also be happy to arrange time to do so in September.

Please be reassured that this delay will have no impact whatsoever on your child's transition to secondary school or their September start.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Mr Horton
