Willow Weekly Newsletter 5.6.26

We have had a great week back in Willow Class and it has been wonderful to see the children settling back into their learning so enthusiastically.

This week, we have been enjoying reading our new class text, Who Let the Gods Out? The children have already been captivated by the story and are looking forward to discovering what happens next.

In Maths, we have begun our exciting maths-themed project. The children are designing, creating and budgeting for their very own theme parks. They have enjoyed applying their mathematical skills to a real-life context and have shown great creativity in their initial designs.

In Science, we have started our new unit on fossils. This week, we learnt about how fossils are formed over millions of years and discussed why they are important for helping us understand life from the past.

Some of our children also took part in Bikeability this week. It was fantastic to see them learning and developing new cycling skills while building their confidence on their bikes.

A reminder that PE lessons this term will take place on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Please ensure children come to school with the correct kit on these days.

Also, next Wednesday we will be attending Crucial Crew- children need to come into school wearing school uniform. If your child is FSM and requires a packed lunch, please inform the office by the end of the day on Monday.

Well done to this week’s certificate winner Olivia.

Have a lovely weekend,

Miss Bliss and Mr Jones
