Willow Class Weekly Newsletter 18.9.26

We have had a fantastic week in Willow Class! The children have shown a wonderful attitude towards their learning and have worked hard across all areas of the curriculum.

In Reading, we have begun our class text, Holes. The children have really enjoyed meeting the different characters and exploring their personalities. This linked beautifully to our Writing, where the children wrote character descriptions, focusing on expanded noun phrases, parenthesis and adverbial phrases.

In Maths, we completed our Place Value unit by exploring negative numbers. The children have demonstrated a strong understanding of the unit and have worked confidently.

In R.E , we have been learning about the Five Pillars of Islam. The children worked collaboratively to research each pillar before sharing their findings with the class.
