Dear Parents,

In English, the children have written some very good explanation texts about volcanoes. They have worked hard to use clear explanations, interesting vocabulary and appropriate features of an explanation text. It has been wonderful to see their knowledge of volcanoes come through in their writing.

In Maths, we have started to explore addition and subtraction, developing our understanding of written methods and how to solve calculations accurately. The children have made a positive start and we will continue to build on these skills.

In History, we have been investigating Stonehenge and considering the possible reasons why it was built. The children have enjoyed discussing different theories and using evidence to support their ideas.

Our Monday PE lessons have also been a real highlight. The children have developed their tag rugby skills, particularly their passing, movement and teamwork. Hopefully, we can now build on these skills and begin putting them into practice through some competitive matches

As always please keep up the daily reading at home,

Mr Reynolds
