Oak News 31.1.25

This week in English, we have written newspaper reports to showcase the Titanic and the achievement in History. The children have worked hard to put themselves in the shoes of someone during 1912 and imagine they were at the launch.

In Maths, we have continued with fractions to find fractions of amounts. Our times tables knowledge has come in handy this week and proved we need to keep developing this.

In Art this week, we have continued focusing on the American artist Helen Frankenthaler to complete an abstract piece of art. We have experimented using watercolours as our media.

Our certificate winner this week is Ameelya. Well Done!

Key messages:

  • Please bring any cardboard and plastic if possible for our art project next week

  • Wild tribe will be w/b 10th March

Have a good weekend

Wow – what a year we have had! We are incredibly proud of all of the children and everything they have achieved this year. They have worked so hard, grown in confidence, and shown resilience, kindness
