Hazel Weekly Newsletter 19.9.25

We’ve had a busy and productive week in Hazel class!

In English, we have been writing character descriptions based on our class book, D-Day Dog by Tom Palmer. We have really enjoyed focusing on Jack as a character, and trying to paint a picture of him using our writing.

In Maths, we have continued our Place Value topic, learning how to order numbers based on how many hundreds, tens and ones they have.

In Computing, we were deciding whether it was easier to draw on paper or digital devices. We all voted, and digital devices won in a landslide. We were impressed with how accurate our drawings could be.

In PE, we’re enjoying our Gymnastics topic, as we learn different types of jumps, rolls and forms of travel using the mats and benches.

We really enjoyed our visit from the Fire Service this week. They were impressed with our questions and knowledge.

Just a quick reminder: please continue to read at home every day. It really does make a difference in your child’s progress.

Well done to our certificate winners this week!

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Brunyard, Miss Cluderay and Mrs Savory
