Happy Friday all! It’s been really warm today this week, but we have worked really hard regardless!
In English, we are almost at the end of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We have enjoyed delving a little deeper into the story and linking it to our writing. This week we are focussing on writing a book report to detail our favourite parts of the story.
In Maths, we have been consolidating our learning from the year. We are revisiting Addition and Subtraction and practicing exchanging across columns in both. We are using pictures and part-whole models to support our learning.
In DT, we planned a recipe for Bruschetta that we plan to make with tomatoes next week. This will finish our Edible Garden topic, which has included planting seeds, making smoothies and analysing different foods.

In Computing, we practised building mazes using Scratch coding. When we drew these, we started programming our sprites to move around them. We enjoyed using the coding techniques that we have learned so far this year.
We had an exciting time on Move-Up morning meeting our new class teacher. We had a lot of fun spending time in our new classroom and getting ready for Year 4 in September.
Have an amazing weekend. Drink plenty and stay safe in the heat.
Mrs Brunyard, Miss Cluderay and Mrs Savory
