Happy Weekend from Hazel Class! We’ve had a busy week and worked really hard!
In English, we have continued with our reading text of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We have used this to create a narrative that is based on the story, but a small spin-off version. We have really enjoyed remembering all of our literary features and trying to use as many as we can.
In Maths, we have been exploring Shapes. We have been remembering the names of all of the 2D shapes and learning all of the different angles that the shapes could have. We have learnt the difference between parallel and perpendicular.

In DT, we made strawberry smoothies as part of our Edible Garden Unit. Everyone had a great time mashing bananas and strawberries, and adding in the yogurt and milk. Although a few of us didn’t like the texture when we tried it, we all agreed it smelt lovely.
In French, we have been learning different things about Time. We enjoyed learning the days of the week, and learning numbers up to 31. We have also been recalling instructions and incorporating these into our classroom.
Just a reminder to please make sure your child has a water bottle in school. With the warmer weather looming, we want to make sure the children are drinking as much as possible to keep cool.
Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Brunyard, Miss Cluderay and Mrs Savory
