Wow, what a scorcher this week has been!
All the children are encouraged to keep themselves cool during the day with lots of water and through seeking shade at breaktimes. Please ensure your child has a clean water bottle and sun hat in school everyday. Sun screen should be applied before the school day. Thank you for your support.
Our reading texts this half term have the theme of superheroes. This week we have shared the story of Charlie's Superhero Underpants by Paul Bright and Lee Wildish. This has been an excellent way to introduce the children to different countries around the world as he hunts for his favourite underpants!

This week we have been learning to count money. Please find the opportunity for your child to count small amounts of coins. Encourage then to count in 2s, 5s or 10s. Can they make amounts for which there are no single coins? Can they make 9p, 11p, 13p...?
Next week we begin to talk about time passing using vocabulary before, after, days of the week and months of the year. We will then move onto tell the time using an analogue clock - o'clock and half past.
There are some useful videos and activities here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zhk82hv
Thank you for your continued support, have a fab weekend!
