Another exciting week for the children!
We have shared the book Tyrannosaurus Drip by Julia Donaldson. The story teaches us about being kind, including others and accepting that everyone is different. It follows a little dinosaur who is made fun of and left out because he is different. We talked about how it is important to be kind to others and speak up if someone is being unkind.
In maths we have explored one more and one less than numbers within 10. Next week we will compare numbers using 'greater than' and 'less than'.
Each child now has their Mathletics login information attached to their yellow reading record. This educational site is subscribed to by the school, allowing your child to practice their math skills at home. Pupils with older siblings will have experienced guides to assist them! Children who accumulate over 1000 points in a week will receive a certificate, awarded during Monday's assembly. Teachers can assign tasks directly related to classroom learning. Please encourage your child to participate, as there are many games for them to explore!
With Mr Jones, the children are continuing to learn about their local area and the events of The Gunpowder Plot. It was a joy to see them acting out the story together on Thursday afternoon!
Please ensure your child has a coat with them everyday, some have been caught out with the unpredictable weather! We try to get the children outside as much as possible.
