Happy Friday!

It was great to see so many parents this week at parents evening and talk about your children and how they have settled into school.

This week, we looked at the story 'The Little Red Hen' and did actions for the words:

baking

concocting

rising

unhelpful

stuffing

collaborating

The children enjoyed retelling the story using language from the story 'I will' and 'not I'.

We talked about the characters and how the lazy dog, sleepy cat and noisy duck weren't very helpful and talked about who helps us. In phonics, the children have learnt 'h', 'b', 'f' and 'l' and been working on blending to read words and segmenting to spell words.

Our certificate winner this week is Faye who has demontstrated our school value collaboration. She always tries hard and has been a good friend. Well done!
